Atmospheric, sensorial and at times obsessive, Can’t Quite Pinpoint features video, performance, sound, sculptures and paintings. Through sculptural sonic pebbles, a veiled pebbledash façade, sculptures of fused body parts and discarded bones, a manufactured pigeon and multichannel videos featuring protagonists wandering through relics of industrial soviet township and another who lingers in an anticipatory state, exhibition explores what Gaston Bachelard refers to as the ‘anthropology of the imaginaion’ - where covering perspectives placed on familiar objects transforms them into vessels of fractured memories. The result is an asymmetrical experience of reality and imagination generated by the artists’ exploration of narratives that meditate on the infrastructure of intuition, the perceived passing of time and agency.
